I received two letters in the mail yesterday from the Brooklyn Arts Council! One envelope was very thin and sad looking, and was of course notice that we did not receive a grant.

But the other was a little thicker and was confirmation that the Telescope has received a small grant from NYC’s Department of Cultural Affairs!
This is really great news because I’m broke. Expenses towards the telescope (and for the holidays!) have added up. The grant is not nearly enough to offset the cost of my new baby, Niko, but it’s a start. So thank you to DCA and the Brooklyn Arts Council for helping bring this dream a little closer…
